This week we've been exploring what the Tudors ate and comparing it to what we now know is a healthy diet! This afternoon 5FM composed raps to explain the food groups and what they do for us.
Listen to one of the finished raps below! Well done to Baker, Alfie, Oliver, Libby and Madison for writing and performing such a magnificent, educational rap.
LYRICS
(Baker)
Fruit and veg are good for you,
If you eat them you'll be cool!
Dairy is full of calcium,
It makes your teeth and bones strong.
Dairy is so milky
You will feel silky!
Chorus (all):
Always eat healthy,
Always eat fresh,
Maybe you will never rest!
(Alfie)
Mr Russell, stop eating biscuits,
Eat cauliflower, brocolli, cucumbers too.
If you eat healthy stuff
You'll be good stuff.
[Chorus]
(Oliver)
Fats and sugars are good for you
But can also make you fat too.
Eat them as little treats
And only eat a few sweets.
[Chorus]
(Libby)
Protein found in meat, egg, fish
But certainly not in liquorish!
Protein helps your body with damage,
Eat lots so your body can manage.
[Chorus]
(Madison)
Bread, cereal, pasta and rice
All taste really nice.
They all give you carbohydrates,
So you have energy to play with your mates!
Can you name any of the food groups? How do they help our bodies?
